will it change the way you look at me?
I wonder if it'd take me like long
Can I use this love to form the perfect melody?
Use the rhythm that you give my heart
A fast tempo like the way you make it beat
Behind Closed DoorsWe stumbled on to something
without trying to seek it
But now that we have it
We're trying to keep it a secret

So when everyone's around
We try so hard not to make a sound
Our heads are lowered
We keep looking forward
To not look into each other's eyes

We try to act like strangers
To keep ourselves from dangers
Try not to grab attention
Don't need anyone to mention
That this facade is full of lies

Don't want to be a topic
People would like to discuss
No need for conversations
People talking about us

Holding this emotion back
Until it overflows and pours
You and I will always be
A love that exists only behind closed doors
Hating to Love youLife goes by
Its nearly the end of October
Eleven months since you left me
And I still can't seem to keep sober

Drink after drink
Living off of intoxication
Can't mend this broken heart
But its the best medication

Holding on to the past
Feels like I'm stuck in one place
Still being haunted by your voice
And that last look on your face

I'm starting to hate
Everything I once loved about you
Like the thickness of your lips
And how your eyes would shine blue

The sound of your voice
The accent when you'd pronounce my name
What I really hate
Is that no one can pronounce it the same

I hate that I love you
And can't seem to forge
Love is WarThey say love is a battlefield of war.
We want someone special and nothing more
Feels like an endless chore.
Can we spot the difference
between the normal and the special
someone who can take us out our shell
And make our hearts feel like we've fallen to a spell

Love is pain
That drives us all insane
A battlefield where instead of blood
Tears fall like the rain
But it's pain so unlike the usual
when we find the perfect person
an experience that's so beautiful

We all need someone to teach us how to love
someone who can give us mini heart-attacks
until our heart can't take enough
Leave our hair standing on its tips

For the longest time I've been this empty shell.
Been dealing with my personal hell...
Tried finding another man's love....
given up on the game.

It happened again,
I saw you in my dream.
I'm still trying to catch my breath
Trying not to scream.

I need to wipe these tears

Force this heart back into gear,
make it regain its normal pace.

So I'll go get my pills
And I'll bring out the liquor.
Keep on lying to myself
Saying "today I really don't miss her".

But I'm haunted.

I wish that I would die,

Clawing, eating, tearing away
Making it's way....through my skin
You should have known me, full of sin,
a shadow being, claiming to be me...only in cast
Behind this God damned mask

But who is me, if all I am
is who this mask

You've been gone most of my life
But your presence just doesn't seem to go

Your influence still haunts me
Like you're a ghost here that lingers
It hurts and it hinders
Feels like our lives
Are still wrapped around your fingers

I walk through the house looking down
Hoping for some sort of protection
Trying to avoid all these mirrors
I don't want to see my reflection

Because I look just like you
And when I look I just want to hurt myself
Breaking all these mirrors
Cursing your blood that runs through these cells

How can this not be what you wanted
Just A PoetI never realized I cared so much
about what other people thought
I always thought I wrote
because it gave me the outlet that I sought
Was I not writing to vent out
wasn't every word that I thought out
meant to fight the urge I had to shout
Wasn't that what this was all about
When did losing fans
start to inflict in me this doubt

Wasn't this pen
meant to be my voice
a crescendo of agonizing screams
heard without making a noise

No. Its more than just my voice
It was meant to live a dream
When pain molds into beauty
And starts to fix a broken self-esteem

But when people cheer your name
it starts getting to your head
I forg
If tomorrow I don't Wake upI wonder what would happen
If I was never to wake up
Would people even care
I wonder if a commotion would erupt

Would anyone even notice
That I wasn't alive
Would my mother even mourn me
Or could she guess that I wouldn't survive

Well I'm still not dead
But I can barely call this living
I feel like a corpse
That hasn't given up on breathing

But I wonder what would happen
If I was actually to die
Would anyone be bothered
Or care enough to cry

Maybe everyone's just used to
Me living like a corpse
So no one would be bothered
Or life change the slightest off of course

But if I would never wake up
There's no way to know what

And I scream into the sky
This salty emotion streaming from my eyes
And the only sign of life is a struggled 'why…?'

But..I'm not dying..even though inside it feels like I am.
I'm torn and broken...and left as the empty shell of a man.
And Im left stranded...living inside myself..
I've thrown away my wealth...and have lost complete regards to health.

Every simple part of me is falling apart
And I fall to my knees in despair
Inside me is becoming a non-existent heart
And it seems as though I've breathed my last breath of air.

But who needs air..when I've got my despair
Life's never been fair..

Yesterday

Yesterday, life seemed to be going
In every direction
With many up and downs
Still to be considered perfection

No thoughts of growing up
Only had you in my vision
No responsibility or worries
About making a bad decision

It was so perfect..wasn't it?
Just laying in the grass
Holding on to your hand
Just watching the days pass

Yesterday was magical
There was happiness and bliss
Only breaking silence
When we gasped after a kiss

We never needed words
Everything could be felt with just a touch
The caressing of your skin
Told you I needed you so much

Was yesterday prefect only for me?
Was I enjoying it by myself?
Tell me why did I have to catch you
Sleeping with somebody else

Giving him that smile
Lipstick painting your lips red
Did you forget all about us
As you slid into his bed?

Yesterday is long gone
Today is filled with much remorse
I tried to numb the pain with liquor
But it seemed to only make it worse

Today is filled with memories
That I wish I could forget
Every second spent together
Throw away the day we met

Yesterday holds so much happiness
That today has turned to pain
Butterflies now turn to heartache
When I come across your name

Time can cure the sadness
Has numbed most of the pain away
But it can't take away the precious

'sorry if it sucks', are you mad?!
This is amazing!
Reminded me of Yesterday by The Beatles, which is not really surprising I guess.
But anyway, this really touched me.
It reminds me of the heartache I've been going through; knowing the person you love(d) is with someone else hurts... Much.
I think the last stanza's great; it shows you're moving on.
Something I'm trying to do as well, but still there will be this one piece of my heart that will always have feelings for him, no matter how hard I try to get over him.

Ok, long story short: amazing poem. Faved, of course.

Well...I wrote this as i laid in bed..half asleep...lol
it sort of jsut came to me..
and i posted it like that...So I wasn't sure if it was any good..as i was half dead.
And I'm Glad that my poetry has once again touched u :)
and that u like it.
btw...Even though i love that Beatles song...this was inspired by a song called "I dont Love you" by My Chemical Romance.

And I know how it feels to need to move on and being unable to :/
it sucks.
